Look to your soul for these things that you know
For the trees that we see cannot forever breathe
With the changes they will confront
This sacred land it has seen many hands
It has wealth and gold yet it is fragile and old
And all the greedy souls just don't care to know of the changes it will confront
You know some people they just wont understand
They just wont understand these things
Thank you for your message but I don't understand
No, I just wont understand these things"
2 - Fausto - Rosalinda
"Rosalinda se tu fores à praia
Se tu fores ver o mar
Cuidado não te descaia
O teu pé de catraia
Em óleo sujo à beira-mar
E em Ferrel lá p'ra Peniche
Vão fazer uma central
Que para alguns é nuclear
Mas para muitos é mortal
Os peixes hão-de vir à mão
Um doente outro sem vida
Não tem vida o pescador
Morre o sável e o salmão"
3 - Marvin Gaye - Mercy mercy me
"Mercy, mercy me,
Ah, things ain't what they used to be, no, no.
Oil wasted on the ocean and upon our seas
Fish full of mercury,
Oh, mercy, mercy me.
Ah, things ain't what they used to be, no, no, no.
Radiation underground and in the sky,
Animals and birds who live near by are dying."
4 - Ben Harper - Excuse me Mr"Excuse me Mr, do you have the time?
Or are you so important that it stands still for you?
Excuse me Mr, won't you lend me your ear?
Or are you not only blind but do you not hear?
Excuse me Mr but isn't that your oil in the sea?
And the pollution in the air Mr, who's could that be?
So excuse me Mr, but, I'm a Mr too
And you're giving Mr a bad name, Mr like you
Now I'm taking the Mr from out in front of your name
Coz it's a Mr like you that puts the rest of us to shame
It's a Mr like you putting the rest of us to shame"
5 - Neil Young - Mother Earth
"Oh, Mother Earth, with your fields of green
Once more laid downby the hungry hand
How long can yougive and not receive and feed this world ruled by greed
And feed this world ruled by greed."
6 - Midnight oil - Earth and Sun and Moon
"In the morning we will wake up and take to the air
Look back at the planet - I'm glued to my chair
Southern half is burning as we climb through the sky
Sea-birds softly falling, smoke way up high
I wish you could see this great mystery
Earth and sun and moon human tribe, thin blue line
Earth and sun and moon will survive."
7 - Metallica - Blackened
"Blackened is the end winter it will send
Throwing all you see into obscurity
Death of mother earth never a rebirth
Evolution's end Never will it mend"
8 - Depeche Mode - The landscape is changing
"The landscape is changing, the landscape is crying
Thousand of acres of forest are dying
Carbon copies from the hills above the forestline
Acid streams are flowing all across the countryside"
9 - Talking heads - Nothing but flowers
"Here we stand like an Adam and an Eve waterfalls the Garden of Eden
Two fools in love so beautiful and strong
The birds in the trees are smiling upon them
From the age of the dinosaurs cars have run on gasoline
Where, where have they gone? Now, it's nothing but flowers."
What about rain
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain...
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've shed before
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores?"

No entanto, alguns concertos e
digressões recentes em que se alerta para impactos negativos sobre o ambiente transmitem alguma esperança de que as mentalidades estão a mudar.
